Your Peerless Kitchen Faucet: Simple Installation Tips from Shankara Buildpro

At Shankara Buildpro, we know that choosing the right faucet for your kitchen can make all the difference. That’s why we offer a range of Peerless kitchen faucets that are not only stylish but also super easy to install. Whether you’re shopping online at buildpro.store or visiting one of our Shankara Buildpro Experience Centres, you’ll find everything you need to get started.

Here’s a quick guide to installing your Peerless single-handle pull-down faucet. Just follow these six simple steps, and you'll have it up and running in no time. Whether you're doing it yourself or getting help, these tips are sure to make the process smooth and straightforward.

What You’ll Find in the Box:

Along with your Peerless faucet, you’ll get a hose weight, gasket, washer, and nut. The tools you'll need include an adjustable wrench, a 3/32” Allen wrench, and a Phillips screwdriver. You’ll also want to read the printed instructions for any additional details specific to your model.

Step-by-Step Installation:

  1. Turn Off Water and Remove the Old Faucet
Shut off the water supply and clear the area of any debris. Make sure the space is clean and ready for your new Peerless faucet.
  2. Attach Your New Faucet
If your sink has previous holes, you’ll need an escutcheon (a plate to cover the holes). Ensure the gasket is correctly seated under the escutcheon. Insert the faucet through the escutcheon and tighten the lock nuts onto the studs by hand. Secure everything in place with a gasket, washer, and nut. Once secure, adjust the faucet to ensure it’s centered and parallel to the wall or backsplash.
  3. Connect the Water Supplies
Firmly attach the pull-out hose until it clicks. Ensure the connections are free of debris, and then connect the faucet supply hoses to your hot and cold valves. Hand-tighten the metal nuts, then tighten one more revolution with a wrench—be careful not to overtighten.
  4. Flush the Water Lines
Turn on both the cold and hot water supplies. Remove the sprayer assembly, pull out the hose, and flush the lines for one minute by turning the faucet to full-on. Once done, reinstall the sprayer.
  5. Attach the Hose Weight
Disassemble the hose weight and secure it to the hose about 14 inches from the fitting. Adjust for easy hose return, ensuring the hose moves freely through the spout hub.
  6. Optional: Install the Soap Dispenser
If you’ve got the optional soap dispenser, insert it into the selected hole in your sink. Secure it with the nut and attach the bottle underneath. Fill it with no more than 8 ounces of liquid soap.

And there you have it—your Peerless faucet is ready to go!
